#1 Pilot: Aired Saturday, September 26, 1998

Claire, a psychologist who specializes in romantic relationships, meets Cupid, who was picked up on the street and institutionalized. He tells her that he has been banished from Mt. Olympus without his magic bow and arrow and has to unite 100 couples before he will be allowed home. She has him released from the institution, and invites him to her singles therapy group. He gets a job a nearby bar and a place to live with Champ, an actor who works at the same bar.

If Trevor has sex with a mortal, he becomes mortal himself. This becomes a problem when an aggressive woman takes an interest in Trevor and he's feeling a bit lonely. Claire's new boyfriend becomes jealous that Claire spends so much time with Trevor, so in order to put his mind at ease, she explains that he's a patient and tells Alex about Trevor's delusions. Trevor hears them discussing this later and is not pleased that Claire has been talking. Champ finds romance with a woman in his apartment building... and Trevor almost ruins it. One of the men in the group has been taking "sure score" lessons on how to pick up women, but the process of almost hypnotizing women makes him feel like a louse.

Trevor meets a fun-loving guy in a video store, and the shy woman down the hall. When he decides that they are a match made in heaven and introduces them, he learns that the woman only has six months to live because she is suffering from a degenerative heart disease. He proceeds to force them on each other, and it turns out that they have a wonderful first date, but the next morning the man is killed in a car accident. The woman's life is saved when it turns out that he matches her needs for a very rare heart donor. Claire thinks Alex wants to dump her, but he is actually backing off because he feels more strongly for her than he meant to. They almost break up but end up admitting that they love each other.
